Developing new synthetic biology tools including genome/transcriptome editing tools and metabolite biosensors for reprogramming microorganisms in industrial and biomedical applications.
Developing engineered probiotic bacteria for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes and new tools for microbiome engineering using synthetic biology principles.
